The Story Behind Carlos’ Consuming Fire Hot Sauce
As a self-proclaimed chef, I enjoy being in the kitchen. Either working on my recipes or taking a recipe and recreating it. The kitchen is my sanctuary! I love creating dishes that burst with flavor, and I also love the element of spicy.
My love for spicy food began in my early 30’s. I had a need and craved hot sauce on everything, even if the dishes were already spicy. I wanted more heat!
As I started being more adventurous with flavors and more hot sauces, what I began to realize was that nothing satisfied my palate. Either they were too garlicky, too vinegary, extract infused heat with absolutely no real flavor, etc.
So, in 2018, I decided to start experimenting with making my hot sauce in my kitchen. I was looking for the perfect combination of flavor and natural heat from the peppers themselves. After a year of many trials and errors, mad scientist mistakes, in early 2019 I finally felt I had the perfect combination. From there my sauces evolved from one flavor to five encompassing a range of heat intensity from mild to extreme. I began sharing and selling my creations to family and friends.
As the hot sauce became popular amongst my family and friends, through prayer and inspiration the name of my sauces was born.
As a believer in Jesus Christ, I want to honor the Lord through His word. It is He who leads and directs my steps. It is because of the leading of His spirit that a hobby that started in my kitchen has now become a business. By His inspiration and His word, the name, Carlos’ Consuming Fire Hot Sauce came to be. Hebrews 12:28-29 says,
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire”.
I give thanks to the Lord, my amazing wife, family, friends, and customers for believing in me and my product.
